All you need to know about chakras

Chakras
In different times chakras have been compared to wheels, spirals, shells, lotus flowers and other things. Speaking clearly, CHAKRAS are subtle receivers and transistors of energy within our physical bodies, which we use to communicate with the outer world, each of which functions on its own vibration frequency. We use chakras to perceive the energy from our surroundings and to radiate it back. The Universe is created in the image and likeness of God, who is versatile and is displayed on all of the levels of our beings. There has been pointed out seven of such levels of being and we can note that the number 7 is seen in many other things that surround us: seven days in a week, seven notes in an octave, seven nesting dolls (one inside the other), seven main planets (they are also called the “septener”), there are seven elephants, there’s the idiom including the “seven seas”, etc. The Bible mentions that the city of Jerusalem stands on the seven hills. The Holy Book also mentions the menorah with its seven lights, which is a direct reference to the seven chakras. Humans also have seven chakras, which we use to perceive the world that surrounds us and communicate with it. For a long time, Chakras have been compared to the lotus flower. Let’s take a look at what is the lotus flower: it has roots that are go deep into the ground, stems that are located in the water and the flower that blooms in the air.
The chakra roots are the organs and glands of our bodies, with each chakra having its own vital function. The chakra stems are the subtle channels of our etheric body, the body that connects our physical body to the rest of the subtle planes. The chakra flower is the subtle field at which each chakra functions. For example, the Anahata chakra radiates love to the world and God; the Vishuddha chakra is responsible for the esthetic worries of a person, the Ajna chakra is our pursuit of learning and logic, etc. When a person starts to feel interest to one or another sphere of life, her chakra turns on, as yogis say.
When a person starts to bring to the world new ideas, her chakras open and she’s called talented by others. When the chakra is opened for a long time, the person begins to gush new ideas and is called a genius.

Each of the chakras can function at one of the three gunas: tamas, rajas, sattva. When the chakra functions at the tamas guna it simply supports those physical organs and systems that it’s reliable for. When a person begins to feel emotional interest towards one or another field of life it means that the chakra that is responsible for this level of being started to function at the raja guna. If the person becomes the teacher of an idea, it means her chakra has opened and is now functioning at the sattva guna.
Humans receive and transfer energy through chakras, which are basically our energy antennas. The comparison of chakras and the lotus flowers are not accidental: the root of the lotus is located in the ground, which represents the physical organs of our bodies that consume rough physical energy (air, water, food, warmth), as well as the subtle energy, such as prana that goes through our bodies by means of energy channels (Chinese meridians). The energy channels are the stems of the lotus flower that are located in the water, or the subtle plane. Each organ is a vessel that collects prana, and if an organ is not healthy then prana flows out through it, creating a negative emotion like anger, fear, jealousy, etc. The energetic centers, or the lotus flowers, are located on the stems. When the roots and the stems are healthy, the human being is turned towards God, thus the flowers open and can receive the spiritual energy of the Sun. The flowers look like receivers and transmitters that are tuned into seven different ranges of perception, starting with the most primitive waves of the lower chakras and ending with the most refined higher chakras. The lower chakras perceive mainly the energy of the Kundalini Shakti, which is the power that opens such abilities as teleportation, levitation and others. The middle chakras, especially the heart chakra, perceive the Ananda; the higher chakras perceive the energy that gives humans their consciousness and understanding.

As we know, energy transmitters, or channels, are located throughout our skin and muscle tissue. The function of our subtle psy-energy transmitters, or chakras, depends on how energy flows through these channels. Consequently, our physical wellbeing, as well as our spiritual development depends on our chakras.

Each chakra has its own mantra and its place of concentration in our bodies.
